In case you’re wondering about the different ways in which we spend your generous donations, here is just another example of how money is delegated to benefit our community. Each month we pay for the regular hire of a large indoor football pitch down the road from us all, and twice a week, the young men from the camps and local area come together to train and play. Football is a great way to bring people together, encouraging physical and mental wellbeing.

Of course, in addition to the adults, we also facilitate group football training for the kids from the camp, and are just starting a new season now, with Riad and Hadi as our coaches. Riad is Lebanese, Hadi is Palestinian, and both are young and local, thus able to relate to and engage well with the kids. By paying both of them to coach, we are also helping to support their own schooling, allowing them to continue to serve as positive role models. Through a blending of ethnicities, cultural gaps are crossed, and everyone is able to meet and act as one on the green of the football pitch.
