meet hoda

continuing on with our ‘ourvoice’ kid’s journalism project, here is another young student’s community contribution, featuring our wonderful camp Shaweesha, Hoda. Entitled, ‘she’s the boss’, Zahraa decided to focus on Hoda as a strong female role model for the kids, documenting the way in which she helps to keep the camp connected and running smoothly.

“I am the Shaweesha Hoda, and I am 41 years old. Responsible for the camp, I organise the camp’s affairs with ngos and local organisations, and I also take care of distributing bread and aid to all families. I have been in charge of the camp since one year ago, and my mission is to secure the needs of the children as much as possible. I also conduct awareness activities about the role of women, early marriage and child labor.”
